Mr Dennis is one of the most caring professional consultants I've ever met!! His manner is so warm, and he made me feel very confident in a very distressing situation, my husband and I put our total trust in his hands. I've never been in hospital before, but I just keep thinking I couldn't be in any better care. My diagnosis of bowel cancer was devastating, at the time of our first meeting we did relay the fact we have private health cover, as Mr Dennis doesn't offer this I had already warmed to him and decided I wanted him to continue with my treatment, everything was put in place very quickly, scans chemotherapy/ radiotherapy etc. Everyone I came in contact with I can't praise enough, Dr Jeffcott I new as my husband had bowel cancer 5 years ago, her team are amazing and we've had the best care possible, I hope this will help other patients on their journey and recovery.

On the day of my operation for bowl cancer the hospital transport got me to the hospital almost 3 hours late despite my numerous calls for help. I was in a panic but Mr Dennis soon saw me and quickly put me at ease for the operation. Unfortunately my daughter passed away when I started my radiotheraphy and chemotheraphy treatment prior to the operation. Soon after Mr Dennis had performed the operation he phoned my granchildren in Cornwall to tell them the news without me knowing. His ward visits were like having a friend at the bedside - his manner acted as a booster towards recovery. Once the results of follow up tests were known Mr Dennis phoned me at home to tell me the cancer had not spread elsewhere. I WISH HIM EVERY SUCCESS FOR THE FUTURE AND CANNOT THANK HIM TOO HIGHLY FOR ALL HIS SKILL AND COMMITMENT.

I found Mr Dennis extermely approachable and clear with his explanations. He involved me from the planning stage of the surgery through to the actual procedure itself. I was prescribed good pain relief and was not uncomfortable following the surgery.

We were very lucky to have this consultant take care of us from his first initial diagnosis he was wonderful and his caring manner when having to first tell you that you are being diagnosed with bowel cancer is truly special.He made me feel very calm his bedside manner is one of making his patients and their families feel comfortable and confident that he will take care of you. He thoroughly explained all procedures and made sure we had the opportunity to ask any questions.Peterborough City Hospital you are very lucky to have such a wonderful consultant and his team thankyou.

Absolutely amazing Doctor. Very warm, and puts you totally at ease. I can't recommend him highly enough. Being 21 and suffering with bowler disease is hard but having a good Doctor who listens to you makes all the difference.
